the Hill Slides...
The photos below show Caltrans
feverishly rushing about, finally trying to rectify the serious geological mistakes they originally made by cutting into the hill and re-activating the known ancient landslide. Hundreds of truckloads of earth were rushed in to raise Santiago Blvd. so that it will act as a berm to once again secure the toe of the landslide -- which they had cut off just a couple of weeks prior.
