Dear Mr. Steiner:

How has the rains of the past 3 months effected the landslide area?

I was looking at a house in the landslide area a few months ago and found out about the landslide by talking to one of the residents.  I am currently wondering if the area has been stabilized by the pumps and also wondering if the home owners in the area are going to have to start paying for the pumping.

Keep up the good work and best of luck in your battle with the city of
Anaheim.

Ted

Editor's Reply:   While the movement has decreased due to the pumping, the hills are and always will be classified as "Area 4, Seismic Hazard Zone"  -- and it just doesn't get any worse than that!

In answer to your second question, the City of Anaheim wants the Anaheim Hills landslide homeowners to become a GHAD (Geological Hazard Abatement District) so that Mayor Tom Daly can wash his bloody hands of the mess that he and his political cohorts have created -- Thereby effectively saddling the victimized homeowners with the both the emotional and financial costs of the city's induced disaster.
